The Titles of the 11 DVD Series 1-5 boxed set

...are all the Channel 5 ones when they were reshown sometime in the early 2000s. The original title sequence here on youtube

was very atmospheric and one of the highlights of a young Ric's introduction to Van Der Valk, especially the gentleman riding along with his dog in the basket. I do wonder why they show the DVD with new titles - I originally thought it was copyright reasons, but the music is definitely the same, and I can't imagine you'd copyright a title sequence??

Those titles didn't appear until the third series from 1977 and are present on the correct episodes.

The titles date from the third series in 1977 and Arlette's second incarnation. They are correct on the 11 disc Network release.
