One of the better cartoons ever made...

A really great cartoon. Very cool music and opening intro.

The voice actor, Robert Ridgely, was the same guy who did the voice of Flash Gordon, Thundarr the Barbarian and he played The Colonel in Boogie Nights.

YouTube now has most of the cartoons uploaded.

Great show indeed. Great atmosphere and good stories. I really love the artwork. The jungle, the waterfalls, everything really has a great look. And the music and drums, I really love it, it has an ominous yet jamming sort of feel. Plus decent messages for kids. All in all the show is a true classic.

This was one of my faves as a kid and it still stands up today imo. Gosh, being a kid in the 1970's was great!

This was probably my favorite cartoon as a kid. I'm not necessarily the biggest Tarzan fan, but this cartoon was extremely well done. They need to release this, and Thundarr, on DVD!!

Thundarr is now available via the Warner Archives site. I suspect Tarzan will follow, but I believe the masters they had weren't in great shape. I've heard similar things about the Filmation animated Shazam, from the Kid Power Hour.

By the way, Robert Ridgely was also the mayor in Beverly Hills Cop 2.

One of the few time Tarzan is portrayed as being intelligent and eloquent.
