Question about Miss Hubbard

I know this is a very strange question - I used to watch this when I was very little - but I was just reading on wikipedia (not the most reliable source, I know) that Miss Hubbard has not been seen since 1997 and that it was suggested she went to live in a retirement home. Is this right? If so how - can anyone tell me how this was done so? I'm just curious.

It's just speculation. She and the other absent characters haven't officaly left they just don't appear in the new series. Although it's clear Mr Pringle isn't the headmaster anymore but it does make you think where he is as his son Charlie is still around.

I'm sorry it's taken me a little while to reply - I must have read your message and simply forgotten to reply, I do apologise. Thank you for answering - I didn't think I'd get a reply! That is rather dissapointing though, shame really the way they wrote out so many of the original characters. I always quite liked Miss Hubbard. Is Mrs. Goggins in the new series?

Yes she is but Pat doesn't work for her anymore. He has a new boss now.

Oh okay ... so what does she do? Is she just one of the villagers?

I can't remember from the top of my head as it's been a while since I saw the newer episodes. She still runs the post office in Greendale. Pat's new boss is based in a new town called Pencaster.
