Was this movie parodied in an episode of The Simpsons? The episode to which referring to is the one where the Simpsons are living in an ultra-modern house with a talking computer (voiced by Pierce Brosnan) who takes care of all the house duties, security, cleaning, etc. If it was... it must be the crappest film they have parodied. Although The Simpsons version was a hell of a lot more enjoyable.
shareI had looked up the Simpsons episode to which you refer, thinking it similar, but the Simpsons site said it was an homage to 2001:A Space Oddessy. But the similarities only seem to be that the computers speak and form attachments. (??)I was totally confused!! :)
shareI noticed the comptuer's attachment as being similar to 2001, but as a whole the episode is very similar to this movie. The movie could have gotten its idea from 2001 though and then given it a twist... After all, supposedly Hollywood is nothing more than a land of stealing hacks!

The Simpsons were (probably) referencing 'Demon Seed' instead (1977, http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0075931/), and of course '2001'. If you see 'Demon Seed' you'll think of the Simpsons episode rather a lot.
However, since I haven't seen 'Dream House', I can't say if they used any plot elements from it.
