Why are Atheists hypocritical?

The problem is guys like Pat. "Reverand" Pat chooses to speak on behalf of Christianity. All he preaches is hate and loves to slam the President. When he's not doing that, he's advising people to invest in gold. Ironically, their big sponsor is a gold company! Pat is a failed political hopeful. He should retire. I loved how he said that we should take down President Chavez of Venezuela and when President Chavez demanded Robertson to be in trouble, Pat's response was "I didn't mean it." He played the old, senile card. He should go away. He ruins it for Christians. He should read the Bible. He might learn something: love.

I'm an atheist and I do not engage in Christian bashing. I think it might be because I used to be one plus my family are Christians so I know how it feels.

I agree that atheists should realize that not all Christians are the same, there are over 30,000 denominations. But why don't you do the same for us? Not all atheists ALWAYS bash you. We are all different too so afford atheists the same courtesy.

Not true. One of my best friends is Christian, while my other two best friends are athiest. They are all very good friends. I have never heard my one friend bash a Christian, and I very rarely hear my other friend do so. I have known some people for years before finding out they are athiest.

By saying "why are atheists hypocritical?" you're basically saying that ALL athiests are hypocritical. So your basically upset with atheists for doing the same thing you are. Atheists don't think ALL Christians are judgmental or trying to convert people, they're just saying that SOME (or most) Christians do that. I am an atheist and there are plenty of Christians that I regard as good friends and look up to. But then there are some Christians that I find mean and judgmental. Just like you, by saying all atheists are hypocritical of Christians, are being judgemental.

Everyone thinks they know best. I think wanting to express your beliefs, and sometimes push them on other people, is common, no matter what your beliefs are.

However, in the case of atheists, I think they have a stronger point. The world may very well be more peaceful without religion. Why believe in something without a shred of evidence?

That is because you believe in an imaginary sky being. You can make fun of atheists for not believing in God, but I think they have way more ammo to work with.
