Smoke a cigarette, you die; wear a cross, you live

A little too preachy for me.

I don't know if I'd say it was so much about that rather it was simply about Man trying to Manipulate Nature... Preach obviously saw it in his own particular way, as did most of the characters if you really think about it...

Yeah. Cigarettes are harmless.

I don't love her.. She kicked me in the face!!

So are alcohol, drugs, vehicle emissions, criminals, dictators....I could go on, but judgmental people know everything.

Everyone who died didn't smoke; and everyone who lived didn't hold a crucifix. So, I'm not seeing overt preaching here at all. You may be overly sensitive.

Lol. I think he's one of those guys who will sit through a film until he sees one cross then "Whelp, That's it, I'm done. Movies terrible!" Okay, Dracula...

Horror movies almost always telegraph people's fates like that. Enjoy sex? You're dead. Bitchy girl? Obnoxious guy? Unhealthy habits? Just fat or otherwise unattractive? Toast. Conversely, any hint of superior moral stature usually means that character has a good chance of surviving. On the other hand, HYPOCRITICAL religious beliefs will inevitably get you killed.
