Your Personal Ending

It is said that the player of the game can influence the story's plot. So therefor the ending should always be different. I'd like to collect some of the different endings. Just for fun.

Ok, here's how my story ended: (pretty disapointing by the way, and absolutly not what i wanted!!!)

At the end Michael got really fed up with Kathryn's bossy behavior, and her dubious treatment methods of his mentally unstable wife Allison. One night, he drove down to Dr Turner's office, and forced his secretary to call Kathryn's employers, to get her finally off the case.
After that Kathryn got the order from the hospital to leave the Overton's house.
While packing her luggage Michael entered one last time her room, to make sure she'll get out there fast.
Feeling provoked she threatend Michael to tell his wife all about their daughter's lethal accident, and that it was all Michael's fault.
While Kathryn was trying to get to Allison, he reached out for a hammer and hit her. She fell down the stairs and was instantly dead.
He then buried her corpse in the yard, and told Allison instead, that Kathryn
left. Couple of days passed. Allison seemed to have fallen back into her lethargic state, just like at the beginning. Michael didn't seem to mind the situation. He was just happy not to have Kathryn around anymore. Besides he seemed to have become insane himself. During a visit of Dr. Turner, he indirectly revealed what he actually had done to get rid of Kathryn. Dr Turner called the police. Michael got arrested, and Allison was admitted to a mental institution. She never accepted her daughter's death.

Hahaha that's kind of close to what we got, but not quite... first I should mention that we did this as a class effort. I was in a class called "New Media Applications" and one particular class focused on interactive movies. Unfortunately we only got through one psychological test during class... so after our final class we had a class party and decided to watch it all the way through. Our answers were pretty varied since we did it as a group and voted on each answer (well the last few we just chose the A answer cause we started after midnight and we were all gettiong really tried near the end).. anyway, here's what we got.

It was the same up until the hammer part...

Instead of Michael killing Kathryn, it was the other way around. She got him in the back of the head and he tumbled down the stairs. Then Kathryn took the doll (that Allison believed was their daughter Jody for those of you who haven't seen it.. thought you shouldn't be reading this if you are :P) down to Allison and told her that Michael attacked Jody, but that she was going to be fine. Then Kathryn suggested they take Jody for a wlk in her wheelchair, and then it ended...

Dang it, I plaed through twice - once with my own answers, once entering the exact opposite of my answers - and got only the two endings already described. Anyone have any different endings on tap?

By the way, the ending described by miku1385 is the actual ending of the movie version, broadcasted last night at 3.45 a.m. on German television.

Years after I bought the CD version of game, I got my hands on the DVD version. This one is awesome, the clips are better and you can watch all the segments right from the disk with your player. You can see all alternate clips they produced and let me tell you, those are a lot! Some big changes, some minor ones.

As far as I know, they produced the movie at the same time as the game. They didn't have the budget to hire the actor's a second time, so they produced all the scenes they needed for both formats. But of course the game is the main gem, with all the alternate and additional clips they produced for it. You can even speek with the characters between the scenes which is great.

How many alternate endings are there, I heard that it has up to five different endings, anyone know what the other three are?

I also heard there were five endings; with one person on a gaming website said three end in a character being murdered and two are accidents.

If anyone knows what they all are, let me know. I'm only aware of two that involve Katheryn either being buried in the yard or being a vegetable after Michael clubs her with a sledgehammer.

There are at least seven endings (although some are variations of the same ending). SPOILERS!!!!!!!! 1) Michael kills Katheryn, shares his wife's delusion that Jody is live, his wife makes up with him. 2) Michael kills Katheryn, shares his wife's delusion that Jody is live, his wife doesn't make up with him completely. 3) Michael kills Katheryn, shares his wife's delusion that Jody is live, Dr. Turner visits them and figures out what happened, cops arrest Michael for murder and Jody ends up in an asylum (this is how the movie that the game was edited into ends as well), 4) Michael tries to kill Katheryn, but she becomes brain dead instead, he shares his wife's delusion that Jody is live in the form of brain dead Katheryn, so they take her to Jody's bed to nurse her. 5) Michael tries to kill Katheryn, but she doesn't die. Realizing what he did he calls the ambulance and they arrive in time to save her. His wife then comments that they perhaps didn't need a nurse after all. (this is apparently the closest thing to a good ending that the game has) 6) Katheryn kills Michael, takes his place as Allison's caretaker and life partner (it's never clarified whether they are lovers as well or just friends who live together) and keeps Allison believing that the doll is Jody. 7) Katheryn and Michael fight over the doll, but before things escalate, Allison arrives to take the doll away from Katheryn. In the commotion, Katheryn looses her balance and falls down the starts presumably to her death. Michael is horrified.

There's one more ending i found, it's similar to ending 7, then she gets taken to Jody's bed just like in ending 4 (her eyes are closed which suggest she's dead).

Same as acorna_unicorn_girl's (aka the Kathryn/Allison/ship ending). I have no idea what influences the game's outcomes, but here's what I did in my playthrough that ended with that ending. I always sided with Kathryn in every question, supported everything that has to do with lesbianism and condemned Michael's affair and irrationality. Maybe that's all you need to do to get it, maybe it isn't. No idea.

On my second playthrough, I got a different ending (but still one of the seven that are known of). This time Michael kills Kathryn and buries her in the garden. He tells Allison that Kathryn is gone and that he'll make them some dinner. He asks Allison, who now has the thousand-yard stare, what she wants for dinner and she says in melancholic tone that he should decide since she "was never good with that" (implying that he should make decision for her from now on). In the next scene, him and Allison are lying on top of each other in their bed naked (her back is turned towards camera), presumably after having sex, and Jody's voice is heard calling. Allison, still delusional, asks Michael to go check up on Jody since she's calling and then content Michael, now seemingly as insane as Allison, says that he can hear Jody as well and goes to check up on her. Not the ending I was aiming for. Anyway, here's what I did differently in this second playthrough. Stood up for Michael more often, but not always. Went against Kathryn almost every time. Criticized Allison occasionally. I always chose the options that promote honesty, abiding the rules and sensibility, but that clearly wasn't enough to get one of the two endings where either Turner arrives or Michael pulls himself together and calls the ambulance.

I'm pretty sure that there aren't that many (if any) different scenes in the game save for the endings.
