Leonardo Pieraccioni ruined a decent movie.

I think there's a lot of good in this movie. The basic plot is fine, the cinematography is excellent, and a number of the main actors are great.

- but Lordamighty, as soon as Leonardo Pieraccioni uttered his first line, the movie was over. - Perhaps someone else (uncredited) did the English voice-over, in which case THAT guy deserves all the blame, but regardless, every line from the father sounded like an accountant, reading the script during an early rehearsal.

How do things like this get past the director?
