has potential, but the dubbing was bizarre and the story simplistic/familiar...
the scenery was spectacular!
and the debut by the kid actor was pretty impressive. i liked the 'foreign' prostitute's perfomance as well.
what happened to the wife????!!! she disappeared out the back door, fought to save her kid, and then was ignored for the finale.
The characters were good but as you said kind of wasted...by the bizarreness.
But Bowie was okay...accent...could have been better, but it was a different role for him, he should have played more villians.

The scenery was the star of the show. The acting wasn't too bad. I enjoyed it.
