picture quality of michael flatley DVDs

Does anyone know which productions (if any) have good picture quality? I just got the "Michael Flatley Collection" from Universal that contains Lord of the Dance, Feet of Flames, and Gold. The picture quality for LOTD is dismal for almost all of the show, only good if the stage is flooded from the front in bright light, which rarely happens. Not quite as bad for FOF, but still quite a few bad scenes where the performers are reduced to a blurry haze that of course all but totally obscures their steps/movement. Are the individual DVDs of the shows any better?

I have riverdance and it's fine. The lightening is a bit low and makes things difficult to see some times but other than that its excellant.

I seem to recall reading somewhere that the picture and sound quality on the Polygram DVD of Lord of the Dance was superior to the Universal DVD.

Anyone know if this is true?
