With Regards to Mr. Disch

Has anybody ever read the book "The Brave Little Toaster Goes to Mars?" I have, and it's much better than the movie. Actually, I just don't care for the Master so it's probably that he's not in the book... Does anybody even know it was a book? It's out of print...

I bought the book online and read it. It's very good, but I like the movie equally. I also read the first Brave Little Toaster book. It was great, though I liked the 'Mars' one slightly better.

Please enlighten me, why do they go to Mars?

a gun rack? I don't even own a gun, let alone many guns that would necessitate an entire rack.

They pick up on a signal from the Populuxe Appliances on Mars, who plan to liberate Earth appliances from humans. They decide they must go to Mars and try to reason with them before any people are killed.

Thomas Disch is actually one of the finest science fiction writers of the past fifty years. Although incredibly outlandish, his two greatest adult fiction accomplishments are The M.D. and The Businessman, which are almost more horror than SF. Two of the strangest books you will never read, but worth the time.
