Just watched it!

Thanks to the wonders of YouTube I have just taken a look a this series for the first time in about 40 years!

Firstly, I was blown away by the first episode I saw about SpiderLady! This was obviously the female version of the Adam West Batman series and that was enough to make me happy! Also pleasing was the "Electra Base" which had computer banks that first appeared in 1960s Irwin Allen TV shows like Time Tunnel and Lost In Space.

But the problem you get with some of these old 1970s shows is that they are sort of one episode wonders. All the episodes resemble eachother and before long you are looking at your watch waiting for the thing to end.

The episode where the normally wonderful Peter Mark Richman plays a Pharaoh was close to painful.

I am not putting up this post to kill your childhood memories of the series, in fact if you just want a 20 minute blast from the past you will have a ball with the series, but if you are thinking of getting the whole series on DVD...well, that might not be such a good idea.

Good review, and it has also been 40 years for me as well. I totally forgot Deidre Hall was Electra Woman. You are correct in adjusting the expectations for this show. Just cannot compare to the work of today.
