SERIES 1 DVD set is out, and it looks great!

i just got my copy from Amazon UK! "Series 1" (as they don't use the word "Seasons" over there) is only 3 episodes, but it was worth it since they don't air the eps in the U.S. anymore. (SHAME on you A&E!!! a channel i have zero tolerance for now, after disgracing MI-5/Spooks by not promoting it and now dropping it in favor of extra CSI-Miami JUNK! i'll never watch A&E and i will buy all associated DVD releases from the UK and not support any U.S. branch of A&E)
anyway (off the soapbox) the episodes look great! much better than any of the broadcasts i'd seen on A&E and PBS. if i had to nit-pick, i'd say there's some annoying edge enhancement, but it could be the PAL-to-NTSC convertion my DVD player making. other than that, i do wish they would have put Series 1 & 2 together for a larger release, because i fear they won't get enough sales of Series 1 to go all the way up to Series 11... but here's hoping! cheers.

Where do you puchase a region 2 DVD player? I can't seem to find any info on region 2 players in the US.

Philips DVP642 Player is the cheapest I found. The instructions say that it is only region 1, but you just open the tray press 789 ok then press 0 and it a region-free player. I found mine by just searching "multi region" and "region free" dvd players. I now have a small addiction to buying DVDs at amazon UK.

In my experience pretty much all DVD players can be made region free. Just have a quick google for it.

I wish they'd hurry up and release all the other series! I've now watched 1 and 2 numerous times and they are wearing out!
