It's sooooo painful . . .


. . . to watch the series deteriorate.

I just watched 9:1&2, with the most trite, hackneyed plot yet. Though I will say that Warren Clarke's performance, when Dalziel sees that Pascoe has regained consciousness, was a treat to watch.

Maybe the episodes were worth it just for that?

And I, for one, really miss BOTH Ellie and Wieldy.

I prefered the earlier series. i thought Wieldy was good. i didn't like Ellie, but Didn't want pascoe's marriage to break up because it made him depressed.

Having just recently watched the final series, and now watching the third series (it's the order they are being shown on the Drama channel, for some odd reason) and it reminds me just how much better the earlier series were. The writing is much better probably due to being much more similar the books. The actors seen much more of a team and I agree, Weildy and Ellie make the series much more interesting.
