Question About Dead Meat

Did I miss something at the end of Dead Meat. The female zookeeper is taken captive and put in a cage while the police are all over the grounds solving the murders. But the last we see of her she is trying to free herself while still in the cage. We never see her get out.

The police finish up and no one says 'has anyone seen the missing zookeeper?' Did her rescue get edited out of the U.S. dvd?

I kept waiting for her to pop up at the zoo asking D & P why she had to make her own escape since the police were so busy finding Tiger they couldn't be bothered to help her. Dalziel would probably have had a great response had that happened.
