What a damn good show

Man, that show rocked. Jamal, L-Train....that asian dude....City Guys ruled. It was always on after school, it was a great show to laugh at. Ahhhh....good times.

yup. Man this show was stupid

Like most post-SBTB Engel projects, this felt like a hollow parody of the original. Still, Wesley Jonathan and Scott Whyte were indeed great--especially WJ. It's good to see him pop up on "What I Like About You."

I know, it was also very special, not like other shows. Hilarious at times, my only question is: what happened?

i was born in 92 so this show aired when i was 5/6 ish. however, my older, then-teenage sister watched it and so did i. i watched the show in its entirety, and can still remember it. (i have a horrible memory). there's just something about it. i miss the nbc saturday mornings! now it's all discovery channel kids, disney channel & lizzie mcguire wannabe stuff. hahaha the irony is that when i was 6, the programming on saturday mornings (as of right now) would have been more my taste. but now, i'm almost 15 and the stuff that was on during the late 90s (THE GOOD STUFF) would now suit my taste better. sooo no saturday morning TV for me. i'd rather sleep in.

It was a good show and I still have that damn theme song stuck in my head

"Oh, my God! I will smash your face into... into a jelly!"

I have to say I looooooved the show, and it is a shame that they replaced it with California Dreams (which I thought was a tad formulaic) but I can't wait to check if they have it on DVD in the library or something. L-Train I liked because he wasn't too stupid and they made him with his own little way of smartdom (excuse the term) but all in all it had the right stuff to hold its own and seeing Wesley Johnathan on What I Like About You is great (and the only thing I like watching now on Saturday mornings is The Proud Family they need to bring back the Staurday mornings of the 90s)

Thanks again for the kind words about the show...everyone is entitled to their own opinion...and those who did not like the show are definately allowed to not like the show...

It was alot of fun to shoot, part of the reason why the show more of a primetime show was because it was classified as 'childrens educational programming', which put ALOT of restrictions on our scripts about what jokes we could and could not say.... took the really good jokes out of the show...took the 'edgy-ness' out too....

oh well, there was nothing any of us could do about it...

Personally, I would love to see this show put on DVD. Even now, my brother and I randomly burst out into singing the theme, god, I miss this show.

Im feeling the OP. Awlways after school i would watch this show and i miss it with all my heart. Its my favorite show to this day and somehow i am the only kid that watched this in my town or something because im the only one that saw it.I cannot see how anyone can hate this hilarious show.

reply

Yeah i can't wait until this gets on dvd. It was a good show and to me better than a lot of crap on prime time.

reply

this has to be my favorite show from that time......every saturday morning my sis, brother, and i would watch it. i remember this one episode (at least i think it was this show) when they were doing a spin-off of buffy? muffy the werewolf slayer? i have no clue why that popped into my head just now. i loved the principal too!!
way better than all the crap thats on these days...

reply

So true. The show just reminds me of Saturday mornings. I miss it a lot.
Since it's past the 100 episode mark, would NBC reair the episodes?
