There was a black van that followed them with the man and woman from the Prince's homeworld, but I don't seem to recall a satellite dish on it, atleast not in the first episode, maybe there is in later episodes.
The van was black and did have a radar dish on top. It was a 83-84 chevy van and was customized by a company out of Texas called Tra-Tech. This seris is available on video from Amazon. Really brings back memories.You can actually see the "Tra-tech" logo on the rear quarter of the van in many scenes.
