what happened?

Ok was Batman holding the gun really why he retired? and what year was that that part of the first ep took place?
where was Alfred, James Gordon and Harvey Bullock by then?

I wish they expanded that prolouge.

for the Toyline how come they made few supporting characters and villians?

It was a combination of things. Batman's heart attack and him having to resort to using a gun to defend himself. He realized he can't do this anymore.

I believe the main show takes place 50 years from now, so that part of the episode was about 30 years from now.

where was Alfred, James Gordon and Harvey Bullock by then?

I'd say considering their age: dead, dead, and retired.

I don't think the prologue needed expanding. This was Terry's show, not Bruce's. That was just to show his last day as Batman.

You are sin.

what calender years? And what ones do you think were dead.
Bruce seemed upset when he saw that he was holding a gun.

reply

These calendar years. The show always takes place 50 years from now. Per the creators' intent.

The dead ones are the ones who were noticeably far older than Bruce.

And yes, Bruce was very upset that he had to use a gun.

If there were to be a Two-Face 2 for Batman Beyond i would like him to rob stuff during the day to give to charity because Two-Face is suppose to be not really the two evils. I mean Bruce/Batman said he fears Two-Face more then any of his foes and it's something the writers don't seem to acknowledge threw out the years.

During an interview on the character they said Two-Face was their favorite but they never gave him enough screen time which is even worse. And i don't care if it wasn't Bruce's story anymore. So what if the writers themselves said they purposely stayed away from Batman's rogues to avoid making it the Bruce Wayne show again. It wouldn't have hurt the show to have some conclusion to some of our bat-foes. To me it seems like a very bad excuse for them to not include them.

If anything I would like to see Terry go up against a new Two-Face because he's supposed to be unpredictable. I even i have a pic of what he would look like had the show lasted longer. http://xero87.deviantart.com/art/JeffXTerry-169586025

Well, it is their show.

It wouldn't have hurt the show to have some conclusion to some of our bat-foes.

I agree.

To me it seems like a very bad excuse for them to not include them.

Actually, that's a great excuse. They didn't want to do a bunch of repeats of Batman villains. They did not want to do Two-Face 2. Or Riddler 2. They wanted villains unique to Terry, not Bruce. What could be a better reason?

Yeah right after they said, "We didn't want to do a Joker beyond" during an interview when they made this show. What a bullsh!t lie that was. Or Mr. Freeze or Bane or Harl Quinn for that matter? Explain that. Cause to me they were too popular to be excluded. Besides you never said anything about MY Two-Face 2 Art for Batman Beyond.

Bingo. "When they made the show." Return of the Joker came out after the show ended.

Or Mr. Freeze or Bane or Harl Quinn for that matter?

Harl was in the movie. After the show ended.

Bane had what amounted to a voiceless cameo.

And yes, Freeze was featured. He was one of their favorites.

But the point is, they didn't want it to feel like Batman 2.0. They wanted to focus the majority of the villains and plots on Terry. Which they did. Only a small fraction were about Bruce.

Besides you never said anything about MY Two-Face 2 Art for Batman Beyond.

I didn't look at it. I'll just take your word that it's very well done.

Well that's not reassuring if you didn't see what the art work looks like, but i think it would have been cool if this show DID have a Two-Face 2 or a movie if not this show.

During an interview on the character they said Two-Face was their favorite but they never gave him enough screen time which is even worse let alone what became of him. So I think they should have at least referenced his final fate or something.

Well they didn't continue after season 3 which ended way too soon before it could go on.
