The reason why Terry's Parents got seperated

Since finding out that Terry is Bruce's artificial son, could it be that Mr Mcginnis divorced his wife because he had some suspicions that his sons weren't his deep down and thought Mrs Mcginnis was cheating on him? Could that be the reason why, that unbeknownst to Mr Mcginnis about Project Batman Beyond that he suspects that his sons weren't his for the fact that they did not have any of his physical traits at all?
