Hey my friend and weren't too sure about the decade in which this movie was set, does anyone know?

Well there were those talent-show guys doing the sumo routine to "Tubthumping", which was more-or-less contempory to the release date...
shareIt's weird actually, there's different styles from different eras... clothes, wallpaper etc look like 1960s or something, but there's alot of contemporary stuff too! Its like it's set in its own time !
shareI'm guessing contemporary (at the time of filming). The old furnishing and wallpaper emphasise the old neglected house which is in need of some renovations.

shareIt's contemporary -- or circa 1998, when the film was released. As someone mentioned, there's "Tubthumping," which was a bit hit in 1997/1998. Also, during LV's performance, a guy from William Morris is holding up a cell phone that dates to that time period.
