Iben always ruins this film for me...

She has the acting ability of a paper bag. Tim Robbins on the other hand, had me in stitches! And it's nice how John always hooks up Joan!

I found her really annoying and unlikeable, even while I actually sympathized with her character's situation!

It's a weird feeling to be on someone's side yet think "Wow she's a PITA" at the same time.

While I think she is absolutely beautiful, I think they could've found a much better leading lady for this particular role

Her line delivery reminded me of Shae from Game Of Thrones. Which was terrible.

reply

Agree with the above but also HATE her haircut! Those bangs, ugh!!!!

reply

She's got no spark.

Love means never having to say you're ugly. - The Abominable Dr. Phibes

Another one? Iben, don't pay these losers any mind. You killed it.

reply

LOL --- sorry jmrex---- she's not Reading these boards. Good try though, and thanks for the laughs!!!

Now on to what the other posters are saying, and are correct about. Her line delivery was awful, and it's easy to see why many people do not like her character or her acting in this film. Most cringe worthy was when she was reading Rob's top five job list, it was so phony and she sounded terrible!!

"what's this? A doorknob? Good show!" -- the easily impressed Dr. Bartley

reply

She wasn't effervescent. That's not the same as wooden.
