Nick Chinlund is Excellent in this Movie

I loved how he came in all brash and full of importance then took the fall, literally, in the form of slipping in the vomit of Edson's character. That pretty well tells this story, but Nick IS the movie. Without Nick, I'm sure GNJP would have been a one-note movie. I'm glad this has finally been released to video. A wonderful addition to my Nick Chinlund collection.

Chinlund WAS amazing in this film. As a Nick Chinlund fan, would you say this is his best performance? I have only seen a few of his films and I would say yes. But i also think it was Sorvino's, Mazar's and Edson's best as well. They were all amazing. Oh yeah, and Muriel! I've only seen her on deadwood but wow can she act!

Oh I hated Muriel. Such a skank and she didn't deseve Joey. As for performances, I'd say this is one of Nick's best, right up there with "A Brother's Kiss" where he played Lex. If you can, please do get a hold of this one. He'll break your heart. I'm so looking forward to "The Fifth Patient". Anything that has Nick as the central figure is my kind of movie. I wish the producers of "Firewall" had seen him. He's so much like Harrison Ford, but with a pinch of something else. Ford's lost it and I think Nick would be great in roles like this one. But, for "Joseph Parker", Nick was amazing. I loved the part where he told Muriel off and wrote her the check. Such understatement in his acting when others likely would have gone over the top. Chinlund doesn't. I also loved the scene in the bathroom with Steve Tyler throwing the water at him while holding him up with the plunger. Another good movie of Nick's though not as 'showy' is "Chutney Popcorn" and I'd have to say "Ultraviolet" was also quite good.

I wasn't crazy about the film Brother's Kiss because I'm not a rosie perez fan (to say the least.) But Nick was good in that one too. I think i remember seeing him on the X Files playing a nerd? I hope steven tyler does another film! I'd LOVE to see him cast as a nerd!

I'm not very much of a Perez fan either, but I loved Nick in that movie. And yes, Nick did two episodes of "The X-Files". The first episode in season two called "Irresistible" and the other in season seven called "Orison" and in both, he played Donnald Addie Pfaster. Then there is Nick's appearance in "Law & Order: SVU" as Matthew Linwood Brodus, playing a serial rapist killer. Another excellent Nick Chinlund performance.

Had no idea who Nick Chinlun was but my friend bought this DVD (she's been talking about it for a LONG TIME) and we watched it together. She's a Steven Tyler fan and thought Tyler's scenes were great (I was forced to watch them like ten times in a row) but she didn't like the film. I, on the otherhand, thought it was amazing but it was Chinlun who really blew me away. My friend is a girl, I'm a guy...I think I was the one tearing up during that first Muriel scene. Embarassing. I was so like...I feel your pain, bro! The bitch!

He's brillaint in it - but in my opinion the real star is the writing.
