Major issues with this movie...
(1)So about the Devil himself and the body he took:
(First to say; this might be the best portrayal of the devil besides of course, Al Pacino's.)
So what power can he use? Why could he regenerate himself when he got shot but in the end of the movie he could be destroyed? Sometimes it has supernatural powers, sometimes it acts only with mortal capabilities. It wasn't cleverly outlined how he can use his powers or what does it take to overtake a mortal body.
(2)About the "minions" or "possessed" bodies: If Bobby died, for example, we have seen it clearly that he blew up, why the hell he had moral conflict at the end as a minion, or as a raised body? Shouldn't his soul have been gone long time ago? Shouldn't he be a mindless zombie like the others?
(3)If it's that important to have sex with the chosen girl in a hidden ceremony, why the hell would you choose only a blind old (shamanic) man to guard the damn entrance? What he could possibly do to make an uninvited guest held back? Tellin' him ol'lame jokes?
(4)The granny part: What the hell was that? An old woman, who could easily push, throw Arnie away, being berserk like somekind of monster. Where was it indicated that she is a monster, having special powers in a sudden? This might be relatively only a nitpicking as this movie has much bigger problems.
(5)Oh and at the beginning, the classic Hollywoodish action movie cancer: Running straight while a guy attached to a helicopter can only move forward. The priest could just easily turn sideways. But this is also just nitpicking.
This movie could be better if only they could consider to polish the logic behind this movie. This just ended up to be an action flick with mystical atmosphere, but the stupid kind one to only make Arnie run for his life on camera in his prime for the last time.
