I was quite impressed with the actor who portrayed Francis. Was it Aidan something? I mean, wow, he was remarkable. I flipped to IFC when this was on and was immediately entranced by this character. I seriously count this man among De Niro in "Bull" and "Taxi Driver" and Peter O'Toole in "Lawrence", or even the woman from "The Passion of Joan of Arc." Does anybody agree with me?
shareI agree, he was great. Francis seemed very 'real,' like someone who would attract stares on a bus, or whispers at the workplace. Aidan Gillen is also fantastic in "Treacle Jr." playing a Londoner with a mental disability. You have to have a region 2/all regions DVD player though, so if you're not American, it may be a bit of a problem.
