the BEST bottom live!!

This one has to be the funniest of the bottom live shows surpassing even the first and fourth (which has the most surreal second half i've ever seen.)

I dissent from that. The plot on this one is very poorly elaborated. The first act is full of digressions going absolutely nowhere. Of course you can claim that a silly premise is not a drawback for Rik & Ade's kind of comedy... But the first play had not a silly plotline --it was a topic, but it was not silly-- and it worked perfectly. I think they should have taken more time on the script. At least it takes an original, juicy turn for the second act. That compensates for the clumsiness of the script on the first.

In my opinion, however, on tours #4 and #5, the twists into the second act are not original anymore: they're silly again, perhaps in a desperate attempt for being original.

First Bottom Live is the best for me: great script, over-the-top performances and hilarious improvising. Adrian's line *beep* hell--a line from the play!" still makes me laugh out loud every time. I think their live shows have been going downhill since. Nonetheless, anyone showing the talent they displayed at writing and performing the first one will always deserve my admiration.

I agree.

The first act is rather poor, no real flow, and yes poorly elaborated. The audience were quiet most of the way through, thats why the parrott got most of the laughs.

However, they rescue the situation in the prison scene, which is funny as hell!
Especially where the do the mock trial!

But its still really good. Not a patch on the first Bottom Live.
