There's a book called "Walking The Dog", which is the second novel by Walter Mosley that focuses on the fictional character, "Socrates Fortlow". "Always Outnumbered" is the first, and the only book to have a film made about "Socrates", to date. So, there is a book sequel, but not a movie.
