'4 Clowns' needs to be on dvd!

Will "4 Clowns" (1970) EVER be released on dvd??

Practically all the other Robert Youngson titles are on dvd: "The Golden Age of Comedy", "When Comedy Was King", "30 Years of Fun", "Laurel and Hardy's Laughing '20's" and "Further Perils of Laurel and Hardy". "Days of Thrills and Laughter" is also not available on dvd. Hopefully it will be someday, although that title is not one of my Robert Youngson favorites.

But "4 Clowns" needs to be on dvd. I'm glad I videotaped it twice in 1986 and 1988 (in 1988, I taped both the opening credits, and the "Seven Chances" segment, only). I rarely view the videotapes so as to preserve them. As "4 Clowns" is Youngson's final, and (to me) the BEST, of his silent comedy anthologies, a dvd is L-O-N-G overdue!

Agreed! I've seen it only once on television (20 years ago or so) and have never forgotten it. Been watching for it on DVD all this time, I just can't understand why it's not been released!

As of writing this in June 2014 it is still not out on DVD but God bless the kind soul who put a version on YouTube. For some odd reason it has subtitles but it is uploaded onto a memory stick and watched regularly on my television. The Net has been wonderful for finding treasures like this film. I used to love watching these compilations on television during the 1980's here in England.
