When people ask where Cambodia is, I always refer to this film.

So many people I meet have no idea where Cambodia is which is a shame. It's my native background so when they ask where it is I always tell them it's near Vietnam, Thailand etc and then I ask them 'Have you seen the first Tomb Raider film? Lara Croft was there at Angkor.'

So I give credit to this film for bringing Cambodia and Angkor to a large audience. I've been to Angkor myself and it was amazing! Though the film probably left me thinking that there might have been some other things to see in it - but then that's stupidity on my behalf anyway lol.

Was she speaking Khmer when she was asking the monk to use the telephone? Because it was hard to tell from her accent, I only caught 'telephone' which I could hear was Thai, so I just wondered! :)

Hmmm I don't think I'm much help - I am not fluent in Khmer to be honest.

I should ask my parents since they are fluent.

OP, it's just like when i'm talking to someone about who Idris Elba is and having to name at least 3 of his movies (Pacific Rim, Prometheus, Thor, etc) before they know who I'm talking about.

Laugh while you can, Monkey Boy!
