Theory as to what became of Vanessa

By now if you're reading this thread you noticed that Vanessa from the first film was revealed to be a Fembot "all along". Basil also comments that he knew the whole time but I believe this was just a joke to speed the story along.

I believe somewhere during the infiltration of Virtucon Vanessa got replaced by a Fembot duplicate as kind of back up plan in the event Dr. Evil's main plan failed. So what happened to the real Vanessa???

1. She died in the explosion and her remains were never found.

2. Dr. Evil is holding her captive somewhere. Presumably in some remote location in Nevada.

3. Vanessa survived the explosion but is an amnesiac.

4. Vanessa survived the explosion but has been in an coma the whole time.

5. Vanessa survived but opted to keep her survival a secret and is doing black ops type work for the MI6 or retired from the Spy Life and is living under an assumed name in an undisclosed location.

If there's ever a chance to bring Liz Hurley Back for Part 4, it would be nice if they was to tie up that loose end but I highly doubt that they will since Austin Powers is played for laughs.

I do hope that is what happens with Part 4. If there is going to be 1 more they need to do whatever they can to get Liz back because she made the first one work as much as Mike did.

Like someone said on the first one's thread Vanessa and her mom and Austin's relationship added sentimentality to the film that it never could have had. He fit well with Vanessa and had a chemistry. Certainly more than Graham and Beyonce's characters that's for sure.

Part 4 needs to be about Austin finding out she isn't dead and searching for her. Have Scott or a new villain take over or in worse case have Dr Evil getting amnesia and turn bad again. Austin saves the day and gets the love of his life, end of series.

Bring Caine and Troyer back but leave Beyonce out and find a way to get Hurley in it. It could work.

Some people are missing the point of the joke - Of course its absurd and doesn't make an iota of sense that she was a fembot the whole time but being a spoof of spy films and James Bond in particular it's to be expected that the original love interest would be retconned in order to make way for a new love interest. It's stupid and makes no sense...Because it's supposed to. When Michael York's Basil Exposition says "Yes, we actually knew all along..." its a somewhat subtle fourth wall break acknowledgement that we the audience saw it and got the joke.

Vanessa was likely switched with the fembot after Random Task bopped them on the head and knocked them out. She has probably been in one of Dr. Evil's outposts/lairs this entire time, and if they ever do Austin 4, she'll probably be back/rescued.
