I have read the book, and know the premise, I think this version was BRILLIANT in its re-interpretation of the systems presented in the original book.
The issue with bringing the book to life is that it is too far out there for almost ANYONE to really grasp and relate to. That is where this version delivers: converting nearly all aspects presented in the book, into the MODERN TAKE arena and I felt it fit perfectly. No, does not LOOK like the book at all, but, yes, it DOES deliver everything from the book, in a way that modern audiences can grasp it.
There are many ideas presented that even when spoon fed to new generations, they might not "get it" because it is so far against the grain, we don't really comprehend WHY people act like that... but in the BNW universe, it all made perfect sense.
I enjoyed this version a LOT, and even bought the Blu-ray.
You can catch the older 3 hour TV version of BNW on you tube somewhere, but it is really hard to watch.
I thought this was a brilliant twist of a way to put the Brave New World tail into modern day refelction. And worth the watch.
