Aussie banks dont have guards standing outside

I have never before been to a bank branch in Australia that has a guard standing outside, let alone inside.

They do sometimes when the armourguard vans pick up or deposit the day's $$.

You must live in a nicer part of Australia then me. I've seen them around in Sydney's west, & I think the robbery was meant to be at Bankstown (ironic name in retrospect) which is a pretty *beep* place.

reply

wasnt the robbery in rooty hill? Which is also a crap part of sydney, not that sydney has many not crap parts. lived there for a year when i was younger, never been back since!

reply

They discussed a smaller bank in Rooty Hill, however the bank that was robbed was located in Bankstown.

ROFL I'm so glad I live in Melbourne's east. Melbourne is frequently voted the most liveable city in the world.

A fact that melbourners love to spout on and on and on and on.

Having lived here a year now I've seen nothing to back up that ridiculous claim, but I hear it from people like yourself on a regular basis.

I think it's something you need to repeat to convince yourself it's true.

reply

Some definitely do. My husband is a guard who stands out the front of a bank in Sydney.
