Things I've learned from watching Two Hands.

Wow, it's funny how with an overabundance of these great "Things I've learned..." threads that appear on many movie threads on IMDB for many long years now, I must say I am a little bit surprised that nobody even thought of putting one up for this little Australian crime comedy flick. But I will start so anyway (and yes, I did quite like this film, even though it isn't quite as great as I originally expected. The soundtrack of it though truly IS great - I highly recommend it!) Anyways, here I come:

1). If you ever find yourself working for a criminal gang and you fail to deliver a huge sum of money to someone as the crime boss instructs for you to do so, don't ever just go to the beach and hide the money under the sand as little thieves will then steal it and if the criminal gang find out, they will later try to kill you for such a mistake. So if you don't deliver the criminal money to someone as a payment for something try your hardest to deliver it back to the criminals who originally hired you for such favor so you don't have to worry about getting a bullet in your head later on.

2). Heart disease is the biggest killer in Australia for people over the age of 30. That is what they say.

3). Heath Ledger was really quite hot back around 1999 and it is really quite sad that he died at such a young age!

4). Always be careful whenever you are crossing the road or a street pavement in case a fast-speeding car with a criminal driver and other members of the gang can run you over and kill you with that car.

5). If you're a grown-up girl in Australia (like Rose Byrne's character) who wants/needs to take a photo of an old man sitting on the door steps, you can do it but at first he will angrily yell "Why the f**ck you want to take my photo for" and then you as a girl can apologise to him by saying "I'm sorry, you're just such a good-looking bastard", then he will smile at you and say "Well that's different!" and then happily let you take another one whilst exclaiming "Go on, take one!"

6). Two little thieves who have just discovered and spend some of their found $10,000 can come towards their rival teens all dressed up in sports clothes they've just purchased and reply to their questions about "How they got all that clothes and stuff" with "Me auntie, she's part of the royal family" and in disbelief one replies "Bullsh*t" and doesn't approve of the "royal family" non-sense, but if he receives one hundred bucks, he will then say "Your auntie is really in the royal family" and stop being your rivalry.

7). If you load a gun with bullets that you've accidentally put through a washing machine, they will not be able to come out of a gun properly when needed to kill someone and would just cause a slight spark out of the gun.

8). In Australia's underworld dead brothers can appear to be ghost-zombies who like to narrate the happenings to the audience and to inform them of the possible forthcoming fate of the protagonist Jimmy.

9). If you're about to kill someone and fail to do so because of the problem with a gun that is awaiting to be resolved don't ever mention in front of the would-be victim that you were involved in the killing of his brother as he will then be able to get enough strength and adrenalin pumping through his body to beat you up and your criminal team and escape!

10). If you had just robbed a bank to get the money to pay off the criminals who are after you, after you've been identified by the radio team whilst making your getaway who inform you that you've just won 10 grand, bump your car into them and push them off the road so that they will avoid further identifying you and in the process, potentially getting the police after you to foil your plan.

Anyone else want to come up with certain things they have learned from watching the movie? It's fun, come one!

11. $100 bills with a gun and squiggles next to someones head drawn on them will actually return to the guy that drew them on there. Meaning that money does actually pass through a lot of hands in society.

12. Heath Ledger ran like a girl.

13. The "things I've learned from" threads on this movie are just explaining different things happening in the movie and fail to hit their comedic mark.

14. I agree with 'TheCommenteer' on this one and am guessing that this thread was started with the best of intentions; which then went tits up when the participants didn't realise how to play it properly...
