Christopher Lambert (Connor) was only 42 or 43 but looked 75

Why did Christopher Lambert (Connor MacLeod) look so damn old at this point in his life? He wasn't a young young guy, but he certainly wasn't as old as he looked here. And if he looked this bad back in 2000, what does he look like today?

What's more, Adrian Paul is two years older than Lambert, but looks younger in both the movie and tv series. Christopher looked bloated, fatigued, and as you said, much older in this movie. I wouldn't say 75, lol, but looked to be in his 50s. Perhaps he has an illness the public doesn't know about.

payback's a bitch. thanks for inviting me to do it

No. Lamber is 2 years older (1957) Paul was born in 1959.

reply

Thanks for that correction. Still, only 2 years apart but CL looks much older.

Not sure why. I think he looks better now than he did in the movie....

seemed like a combination of things. the cold weather at those locations they shot at, Lambert is a smoker, having other projects going on at the same time, etc. etc.

in the Making Of featurette that showed the promotional material, Lambert looks in better shape than Adrian Paul does.

he is one of those that matured faster. even when he was 29 in the original film, he looked older.
there was just a period between 1998 and 2002 where he looked older than his age in films. in the 2003 film The Point Men, he looked good, he didnt look bad at all.

Lambear was making multiple films at the time. It had to play with his health.. he looked a lot better in the point man

Think the hair cut did him no favours. That was the producers trying to replicate what he looked like in the original film when he drives out of the car park.

I always thought his looking ragged in this movie was intentional. Connor was tired of the mental torture that he thought his life had become and it stressed him out.
