Please get this movie right...

This movie is perhaps totally misunderstood, at least here on IMDB... its just to explain that when a person truly follows his or her heart, no one can change it... no matter how big you are at changing others heart...

It just shows that if you believe in something from the bottom of the heart... others are bound to follow you... no matter how much they oppose but if you stuck to it... they would too... she was just following her heart and did not care for what the world has to say... he took her as another confused person who he can change by applying his formulas... and thats where he got it wrong... he realised that she is totally convinced but then he became too arrogant to accept it...

It does not matter what was her belief but idea is that if you are ready to live or die, fail or succeed with what you believe then sooner or later people would understand you and follow you...

exactly! I liked this movie for this reason alone, it was a great message. Although at times I wondered how it was going to end - the message could have been so much worse.

THANK YOU! Oh my goodness so many people apparently can't see/understand deeper meanings in movies!

And for once -thank buggery- the message wasn't "Have faith in christ, and everything will work out YOUR way"

I think there's faaaaar too many movies these days that have deeper meanings that are utter pootie to any other than catholics/ god-botherers.

Here, here, Razar.

This whole thread is encouraging and refreshing. There's so much delusional craziness on IMDb. I'll come to discuss a film, and I either find somebody discussing the size of body parts or whining about Jesus.

I thought it was a powerful film ... showing so much of the complexity of the human heart and emotions.

I liked the lines Keitel had about the mind.
