its not that simple... if you put it that way any believe system is a cult... what defines a cult is the way it governs peoples lives and orders them to follow a leader or a doctrin with little or no thought at all... there are christian sects but all together this religion is much too diverse and leaves a lot to interpretation wich is the reason it is called religion and not cult. Neither does Judaism or Buddism discourage thought. If you live strictly after every scentence in the bible, your in a cult... if u interpret it yourself it isnt.

By your definition, Catholisism could be considered a cult.
