Simple but factual answer in 2007. Most men, and certainly some lesbians find it a turn-on to see a woman urinate. She was giving him more visual stimulus. Some of the Italian directors seem to like including a woman urinating scene in their movies.

Some people (no, I am not one of them) consider urination in front of someone else extremely intimate. Some people (I am not one of them, either) find watching such a thing extremely intimate. So yes, she is trying to draw him in by exhibiting her vulnerability. He caved immediately - throughout the rest of the film we watch the "cruel" things she does to him that obviously trip his trigger, which is why he proposes and wants to spend the rest of his life with her. She thinks what they're doing is perverse and feels guilty - but it's clearly what he wants from her. A little bit like "Secretary" when James Spader whispers, "It can't go on like this," and Maggie Gyllenhaal says, "Why not?" and they end up happily together.
Only this time it's a happier ending for them both to go their separate ways and live "normal" lives. It's the way they both want it, ultimately.

There are some really great observations on this thread! I think the urination was seen as submissive by him, but it was a power tactic by her--it was both--this film is abundant with dualism which is a common them in Hinduism! Om Namah Shivaya! Also--Jane loves her some Freudian images!
