How was this even called Highlander, she wasn't a highlander, just an immortal.
share For the obvious reason of it being a spinoff of the Highlander series. Her charachter did appear at several times during the Highlander Tv series, so that's where the "hook" comes from.
The other reason is that in order to draw in viewers, at least for the first couple of episodes, you tell them that it's a Highlander series. It's the same reason that CSI and CSI:NY and CSI:Miami or The Law and Order series all say Law and Order.

Those shows you listed, were of actual "Good Shows" Not second rate wannabe actors you don't ever see in anything else...ever! The Highlander show was just plain terrible.

Some of the best shows of the 90's were the syndicated shows like Highlander, Hercules, Xena, Rengegade. Not some crappy network series like ER or Law and Order that need 20 million plus viewers to be "good" These shows never would have lasted as long had they been on CBS or NBC because they were good shows. I'm surprised Heroes made it to season seeing that it's not Will and Grace or ER.

shareI actually thought that when this show went off the air, it was starting to get interesting. Nick had his immortality, and then it becomes this show not just about Amanda, but about Nick and how he adjusts to his immortality, which, he didn't want and how he deals with Amanda.

The reason why it didn't make it to season 2 was mainly do to the fact that Elizabeth and Paul hated each other due to Elizabeth's crazy boyfriend, plus the financers probably didn't want to back another season.
