Names for Pongo and Perdita's original 15 puppies

For the record, using all three of the Disney mediums (not counting either film sequel, just the 1961 movie, 1996 movie, and 101D: Series), an overall total of 12 out of the 15 Dearly puppies have been named. In Dodie Smith's original book, it is stated that 8 of them are male, 7 are female. They are as follows:

Cadpig (Female)
Dipstick (Male)
Fidget (Male)
Freckles (???)
Jewel (Female)
Lucky (Male)
Patch (Male)
Penny (Female)
Pepper (???)
Rolly (Male)
Two-Tone (Female)
Wizzer (Male)

Other puppies, such as Rover, Spotty, Duke and Tripod I am sure are among the other 84 that Roger and Anita wound up adopting after being saved from Cruella DeVil.

Hello. I'd like to know something about some of the puppies' names. Most of them are obviously a description of the character's peculiarities, yet; there are some I'm not so sure about, maybe because they're related to cultural facts or such. Then, Why was the youngest one named Cadpig, why is one of them named Wizzer? Finally, why is in some places (collectable stickers, diaries, even clothes) depicted another Lucky version, with an "X" and an "O" on his face? Please somebody reply.

Hey there! I'll try to fill you in on those questions.

Cadpig (named by Dodie Smith): In the original book, Cadpig is the runt of the Dearly puppies. She was also the puppy that almost died and was resurrected, not Lucky. Her name 'Cadpig' is the runt of the litter pretaining to a litter of pigs. Roger once called her that and the name stuck. Plus, it sounds really sweet when spoken with love. :)

Wizzer (named by Disney): Wizzer was introduced the 1996 live-action remake. He was probably named due to his weak bladder.

Alternate Lucky: Not too sure. I am familiar with the alternate Patch (in the book, like in the series, he's a monster-sized puppy, but in the 1961 movie, they apparently shrunk him) but maybe that's just another rescued pup.

As far as I know, only Cadpig, Lucky, Patch and Rolly (called 'Roly-Poly' in the book) were named by Dodie Smith. The other named puppies were named by Disney. They include:

1961 original animated movie:
Freckles, Penny, Pepper

1996 live-action remake:
Dipstick, Fidget, Jewel, Two-Tone, Wizzer

Hope this helps. You're always welcome.

Very interesting. I was wondering why she was omitted from the movie when she was in the original novel. It makes sense that the dog who narrowly escaped death would be named Lucky, but it's a shame that they couldn't fit in a spot for the runt of the litter to make an appearance as well.

Two-Tone is from the original litter?

So that means Lucky went on a date with his own sister? Man, how'd that one slip by?
