Anyone love this movie as much as I?

I LOVE this movie and am really looking forward to seeing Jean-Marc Barr in Le Divorce.

I can't believe I've never even heard of it! Thanks for the tip. As a rule, I love costume dramas (P&P is one of my all time faves) and swash-buckling (could anyone ever buckle a swash as well as Errol Flynn??) so I should love this. Did you see the Widow of St. Pierre w/ Juliette Binoche?

reply

My personal fav is the A&E 1995 version with Colin Firth. I have not seen Widow of St Pierre, but I shall check it out. thanx!

I invited the teenage daughters of a friend to go with me to see "What a girl wants" just to have an excuse to see Colin Firth in it!! He's great in everything but he is the epitome of Mr. Darcy!! I have the P&P DVD and watch it about once a month!

I rented this movie the other night without knowing anything about it, and from the first 5 min., i LOVED it. Everyone is perfect in this movie; I don't know why it didn't get more attention here in the states!

it's simply a delightful film

F*ck me gently with a chainsaw.....do I look like Mother Teresa?

This was a great movie. Richard Grant was at his best here.

I love this movie! It's just so great! Such funny lines! Like when Major Chevaning (sure that's misspelled!)comes to the door and he says his name is Hercules!!!! Too funny!

I also love the 95 BBC/A&E version of P & P...so I'd also recommend to anyone who likes this movie, "The Importance of Being Earnest" with Colin Firth, Reese Witherspoon, Rupert Everett, Frances O'Connor & Judi Dench. It is fabulous & witty just like this movie!

It is a brilliant film. I first saw it on TV and hunted down the DVD. It has a great cast. Miranda Richardson and Richard Grant are terrific. So funny!

I can't believe I'd never heard of this fun film before. I thought I'd completely exhausted all regency/napoleonic movies in moviedom, but I guess not. Happy me.

I watched it last night and adored this funny/romantic romp! Jean Marc Barr was sexy in it and I loved the ending how they ran throughout the manor to get to their honeymoon bed. ;)

I've just seen a bit on the telly and enjoyed it as much as A Hazard of Hearts (?!).

I read somewhere about this movie, came to imdb, saw quite low rating and decided against watching it. Luckily later I saw a clip from this movie on youtube (the scene in the restaurant) and decided to watch it after all. It turned out to be great - well played, romantic and funny. It reminded me of "Scarlet Pimpernel" with Anthony Andrews, one of my favourite movies. Well, once more I was reminded that I shouldn't put complete trust in imdb ratings.
