I can't believe these guys are the same ones who made Super Troopers. It's truly unbelievable. I could wipe my ass and come up with a better script. Having a low budget is not an excuse for having poor dialogue. Do NOT waste your time or money on this film. For serious.

how's it feel to have ridden the short bus all your life ... are you serious? ... having no budget IS an excuse for not being able to afford good actors (i.e. ~ brian cox, daniel von bargen) .... also, having just graduated from college without acting experience is also an excuse for the dialogue not being as strong as it could have been.
obviously you completely MISSED what a major studio (willing to fund super troopers for theatrical release) must have seen ... the entire exchange about dating the 12 year old that farva (yes, he's farva to me regardless of the movies the do) had was an absolute riot ...
honestly, i agree with you. This movie was not nearly as good as Super Troopers on the whole ... however, i think the funniest parts of puddle cruiser were better than the funniest parts of super troopers ... just my opionion.
for anyone that has seen super troopers about 100 times (because i know very few people who have only seen it once or can't quote it on command), this is absolutely worth checking out. But you seriously have to go into it with the right mentality .. i will agree that club dread was a bit of a disappointment .. i was expecting more and there should have been more there .. but if you go in, correctly, not expecting much from this movie as a "movie" .. and just go into it looking for similar comedy to super troopers, you will absolutely not be disappointed.

I think i honestly only laughed ONCE during the entire movie.... and I don't even remember during which part right now.
you guys take humor way too seriously. Broken Lizard's movies are hilarious, and I watch them frequently, Puddle Cruiser included. Go watch Scary Movie 63, or whatever it is that you find better than this movie.

This was a good movie it sounds like someone was just thinking it would be like Super Troopers and didnt even try to watch it for what it was. So I do advise watching this movie just dont think of Super Troopers the whole time your watching it or u will miss out. shareSorry but this movie rules. I love it. 1000x better than Dukes. Super Troopers is alot better but it is in the number 2 slot for best BK film. Club Dread is in the 3rd spot (I acually like it) But dukes sucked. I hated the show too though. I can't wait for Beerfest!

Not Funny? Are you Kidding me? The court room scene was hilarious. I was laughing so hard I almost cried, and the guy in the mailroom cracked me up. I know it's not their greatest but for being their first movie it was pretty good.

I thought that is was very funny, not their best work, but they were inexperienced. It kindda reminded me of the movie Clerks, because that was kevin Smith's first film and even though, it had some hilarious material it wasn't necessarily presented in the best way.If you have seen their other movies you can definitly see the same type of comedy just more polished. don't be so judgemental.

I also love this movie. If you can get past some of the bad acting the dialogue and script is hilarious. If you did not like Super Troopers then don't bother and if you did, then watch it with an open mind. They made the movie on virtually no money and they are just an average group of college friends. I think Broken Lizard is great and I can't wait to see their next project. Beerfest is also awesome! Only seen Club Dread once so I can't comment on it, but it didn't particularly grab me.

think about this feinberg.. jay chandrasekhar had to write it, direct it, and act in it. Considering he did all of that it is a pretty good movie. I know he did the same for super troopers but puddle cruiser was more of a personal movie for broken lizard. it was made at their college and if you read the trivia about it they talk about how some of the things that happened in the movie happened during their college years. So props to jay and any movie he makes along with any movie anyone from broken lizard is in.
ohh. and watch slingblade. now that is a crazy good movie considering billy bob thorton also wrote that one directed it and starred in it.
I saw it for what it was, a low budget college flick and I enjoyed it. It was amusing just to see how young these guys looked in here. It was entertaining but there was nothing to make you die laughing in here. Although I will admit the court scene was pretty freaking funny. But hey you have to start somewhere.
