I didn't know this movie even existed. I was looking around BlockBuster a couple of nights ago and saw this movie. I was shocked to come on here and realize that it's eight years old. I don't remember ever hearing or seeing a preview for it. I loved the first movie because Eddie was so funny. Did this movie do bad in the theaters or something?
shareIt defiantly didn't come from nowhere. I was working at a theater before it was released. We had that preview showing all of the time in the lobby for months before it came out. I don't think it did very well though. With all of the special effects it cost something like $100+ to make and didn't earn near that.

And then the movie made $42.5 the opening weekend, and it went on to make over $123.3 million.
And then it also garnered $43 million in foreign markets.
So, it ended up doing pretty well.
This time, Effie White's gonna win.
Whitney was wrong. Children are no longer the future.
The film was a big cinema hit.

This movie was pretty big when it was first introduced in 2000. And the soundtrack with Janet Jackson singing "Doesn't Really Matter" was also a huge hit for her. I saw this in the movies and the first one also. The first one , my dad snuck us into the movies after seeing some other movie at that time to see it and I was dying laughing at it.
I still can't believe it's been 14 years since it came out. I still have the album on vinyl from when people used to scratch on turntables.
