I thought I saw some sort of Jungle Book live-action movie around the same time and saw it on Netflix thinking it was the same one. Nope. I'm pretty sure the 1994 version was the one I saw back then. One of the worst movies I've ever seen. I don't know who the director was, but it was painfully obvious the kid had no acting skills and the director didn't seem to bother making any part of the human dialogue realistic.

Plot issues:
-Raksha, the First Lady wolf, dies and the pack falls apart "without leadership" even though the *beep* pack leader is alive and well.
-Mowgli acts like his food fell on the floor when his "mom" dies. Seriously bad acting by him throughout.
-Shere Khan isn't really trapped in the weak fire ring, but becomes a total pussy (no pun) immediately, after he's been dictator/king of the jungle the entire movie.
-Dbaggery and treachery is like a sneezing fit- ends quickly and nobody is mad at you afterwards.
-A vulture would rather save a human than let him die amd eat.
-Watering hole meeting telling carnivores they can't hunt there.

This is insultingly dumb and I was checking the time till it was over 5 minutes in.

The thing that irritated me the most was the fact that they had chimps living in India.
