Vanessa Paradis proves...

You don't need braces to be beautiful! In fact I believe her gaps make her more so! I really think that I may have found her less attractive with 'perfect' teeth. Although I have read a user comment that disagreed with that. Pity that some people can't embrace uniqueness. To me it makes the beauty stand out from the rest! But to each his own I guess! I say I guess because I wonder if people who make claims such as 'she needs to get her teeth fixed' really have their own opinion or are just conditioned by the media on what is beautiful. Because how can you not love that smile?

Exactly, she would just look like everybody else, if her teeth were perfect. I have a gap in my teeth and I feel I would look strange without it!

Yeah it's like Madonna. It took me years to realize she even had a gap! When she came out in the 80's, I remember thinking..."There's something about her, but I can't put my finger on it!" It was probably her gap! And now if you look at Britney Spears, she is cock-eyed, but if you ask me I think her eyes are her best feature. And let's not forget Cindy Crawford's mole! So it's really funny that the media has conditioned society to see these things as imperfections, yet it is these 'imperfections' that have made these women the most famous!

Hi!! Small world, hahaha :)

Classic example here: Enrique Igelsis, he had the mole, and looked alright, but tthen he had to get rid of it because he felt insecure and now he just looks like everybody else!

I agree with all the comments in this thread. I never heard of her, the movie came on and I saw her face and decided to watch more of it. It's still on, I hope they find each other again!

The very beauty of this film lies in the characters imperfections.
An aging knife master, a suicidal intellectual
who has lost the will to stand on her own.

Throughout the film Vanessa's character
clings desperately to any support beam she can.
*in the form of sex-drawn men*
That in itself purports itself a flaw, a weakness.
However it is exactly that trust, that willing devotion,
a longing for passion, that makes her so perfect for Garbo.
A man who finds himself completely existentially disenfranchised.
A man controlled by his environment, becomes
essentially the master of his own fate, when
he is indeed forced to act as if he was already in control
*for the benefit of miss Adele*

The two's own flaws simply act
as notches on a puzzle peice,
without them, how could fit together?

One can only hope our own world will learn the
lesson, that imperfection is in itself, prefection, simply
waiting for its match.

I was in love with Johnny Depp and now I'm in love with Veronica Paradis. What a threesome that would be! :)
