Frankly, Dan Hedaya's Dick is magnificent in this film.
Freedom has a lot to do with tolerating the crap you don't like
yeah, but is it classic Dick? The Dick we love, the Dick we know, the Dick seen all the world over, the Dick that America had to swallow over the years?
When you get to hell, tell them Itchy sent ya.
Now *that* is a double entendre that I won't touch, but I agree that Hedaya's Nixon was outstanding. Far more realistic than the other historical characters.
