How Can You NOT Like This Movie?

Even staunch republicans have to laugh at this movie.

You have SNL meats Kids in the Hall.
You have cute girls.
And the best Nixon spoof of all time.

Dan Hedaya steals every scene he is in...lol

Just sit back, relax and enjoy this little movie.

The premise of the movie is certainly a funny idea. However upon watching the movie through, I realized that (imo) it's really not all too great or terribly funny. The direction itself is pretty cliche. Also, the idea of pinpointing the origin of major events to these fictional characters is funny but painfully unoriginal.
On the other hand the casting is great, and Kirsten Dunst was great as usual.

As someone who thought Nixon was scum, I was looking forward to a spoof about him but this film was just not funny. It had a laugh here and there but overall it was boring. Not to insult anyone's taste, so please don't take offense.

Overall, the film didn't tackle politics seriously or its portrayal of Nixon. So you're bound to be disappointed if that's what you'd hoped for.

However, this was an engrossing and very likeable film for me.

This was the cutest movie. I have probably watched this movie from start to finish 50 times. I especially like the ending when they make the "you suck, Dick" sign and hold it up.

Absolutely adorable film.

I probably would have liked it more if I had seen it before Mark Felt confessed.
