I liked it :)

I mean, I'm not sure what others think, but as a 18 year-old girl, I liked this, alot. It felt empowering, I loved seeing Joline take action. I'm not too fond of the tagline, it makes her sound a little...forceful. But she thought on a deeper level, it was not "she got anything, whatever it takes", she helped others, she seemed like a good person, she just did what made her happy.

were here and casey affleck blood related in that film , didn't they alsmost make out?!

reply

Well, yeah, they almost did. Her "brother" was trying to comfort her, and i guess he's a drug addict or something cause he "forgot" they were bro and sis. She had to remind him.

it sounded to me like joline and her brother grew up on a commune or a hippy resort and as gross as it is, a lot of communes encourage inbreeding. maybe it's possible the director was trying to play on that.

restraining orders are just another way of saying "i love you"

reply

Ah, so incest is in this movie.

Hippie communes encourage inbreading?

Back to the topic, I liked it too. I don't understand why the rating is so low. It seems like somehing that would be in the mid to high sixes.

reply

Perhaps they were Step Bro and Sis and just joked about it. Would make more sense.

The characters were so annoying that I wanted to punch them in the teeth.

I agree with u I really liked this film. I loved Goran Vis..... whatever! (Luca from ER) in it he was dead cute. I was a little freaked out by the bro and sis kissin scene as that other person mentioned! Have u seen The Guru? I havent seen it and was aondering whether Heather Graham is like her character from Committed in it?

Tell ya what, grams. I`ll go to church with you when you say the word "penis".

I thought this was a great movie too. Maybe it was just Luke, but it reminded me a lot of "Bottle Rocket". And if you haven't seen that, you definitely should.

Well, your *imagination* must be in that dump, too, cuz you obviously don't have any.

Me 2. It was cute, fun and light. Movies with no graphic unnecessary sex, guns or car chases are hard to find and Heather always does a good job.

I loved it! It left me with a big, silly smile on my face. I like oddball, quirky films. I can't believe this writer/director doesn't get more acknowledgement. I caught this on one of the premium movie channels, preceding this was EAT PRAY LOVE which I found a yawn fest (I felt like someone was taking home movies of their vacation highlights) and then Committed came on and though I was about to turn the tv off I caught myself drawn in at the first go. It's all so original. Just one example being Joline getting to known Neil with one always in the car and the other always outside of the car. It's chock full of original moments like this.

I loved it. But mainly because of the insane amount of pure 90's goodness that seeped out of every scene.
