Still the best

I'd put Child's Play 1988 as a close second.

In this film, everything comes together perfectly. Its balance of horror and comedy is the most sophisticated of any of the films. Some of the earlier films take themselves a little too seriously at times, and sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. When the earlier films were funny, it almost feels like it was an accident, but it worked, so they'd keep it. This movie knows exactly what it is. It delivers a very knowing comedic element, while not losing the edge. Tiffany! She's a worthy companion, and Jennifer Tilly brings it in her most iconic role, in the flesh and in the plastic.

The Dolls! Not only does Chucky look better in this movie than any other, but Tiff looks great too. This is the peak of the fully puppeted era Chucky. There's no CG, at least nothing obvious like faces, and still holds up visually, unlike some more recent entries.

I love Bride of Chucky!
