Why was Chucky sure they buried him with the amulet?

A nice fancy piece of jewelry like that? How'd he know that the cops, or the mortuary workers didn't swipe it and try to pawn it for some quick cash?

It was shown on his dead body on the newspaper right before he was buried

Someone still could have stolen it after the picture was taken. And as far as why Chucky assumed it would be there, I guess he didn't have much of a choice. It's not like he had any information that said otherwise.
