In this child's play movie Chucky and Tiffany need the heart of damballa to transfer their souls into Jesse and Jade but in the previous movies he didn't need the heart of damballa to try to transfer his soul into Andy or Tyler I'm confused

Plus, even if he had a mostly new body in Bride, there would probably be little time to track down Tyler since he'd be the only one Chucky could transfer into without the heart now. With the heart, he could take any body he wanted.
