If you liked this movie...

I am curious to get a cross-sample of age and location of the fans.

I'll start:

49 YO female from Dallas and I was surprised by how much I liked it. IMO, it's a fun guilty pleasure.

19 year old male, Pennsylvania. I know that's not supporting the idea that this is a good movie, because most 19 year olds like any movie with a pretty girl, and at least one explosion. I prefer to think I'm not in that group.

18 year old male, Michigan.

I had no idea that this movie was so hated by critics, sporting a 19% from rottentomatoes.com

I just growing up and watching it, and loving it.

I guess you could say that a movie like this is similar to something like Crank 2. It's over-the-top, nonsensical, but ridiculously fun.
And that's preciously why I go to the movies: to be entertained.

xandaman90 the first Crank is awesome, the second one is great too. Still I hope they would make a third one closer to the caliber of the first one.

I may be late on this but is the "pretty girl" in this movie supposed to be Willem Dafoe?

Anyway, I was probably 13-14ish (I'm 21 now, live in New York) when I first saw the movie. Being a comic book fan, I've always loved the classic "Evil is punished" story and I find it that much better when the heroes aren't radioactive mutants wearing spandex. Call me sick and twisted but it fulfills a deep seeded desire to see this type of infallible justice brought to the true evil of our real world.

I understand where the people who find this behavior sick and intolerable are coming from. It's wrong to kill; We don't have the right to play god; etc... But I feel like they're simply applying their very valid, real world concerns, to a scripted work of fiction. It's in the script that they're on a mission from God and whether you believe or not (I don't, for the record), I feel that the baptism scene is supposed to confirm the beliefs of the brothers, justifying their actions.

39 year old male, Georgia. I've always been strangely attracted to vigilante/super hero type movies and stories so I've loved this movie since I first saw it in 2000. It's not exactly great cinema but damn it's fun.

Female, Ohio.
First saw it at 41, I'm now 49.
Loved it.

Turned my son (then 18), mother (then 72, now deceased) and my daughter (then 6) onto it. The Boondock Saints became a multi-generational family affair.

Thanksgiving Day, my son (26), my daughter (14) and I saw the sequel together.
Safe to say, we were the only 'family' on the theater, but actually got a smattering of applause because of that!

I am also an 18 Year Old Male Michigander. I don't really like action movies at all, but this movie is fantastic. I could watch it everyday. It's got a strong plot, emotion, comedy, and exciting and tense action scenes. It's perfect.
